Fairphone is gearing up to unveil its latest smartphone, the Fairphone 6, and thanks to a leak from WinFuture, we now have our first glimpse of the upcoming device. Set to launch on June 25, the Fairphone 6 is showcased in a sleek Horizon Black finish. It will also be available in two other colors: Cloud White and Forest Green.
The design of the Fairphone 6 has received a subtle makeover, now featuring a flat frame rather than the rounded edges seen on its predecessor. A striking bright yellow button appears on the right side of the device, though it's unclear whether this functions as a volume control or serves a different purpose entirely. The display has slimmer bezels, and there's a familiar punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
While the back of the phone hasn’t been fully revealed, reports suggest it will include a modular back panel made of two distinct parts – upper and lower – each with contrasting colors. Staying true to Fairphone’s sustainable and repairable ethos, the Fairphone 6 is said to sport a plastic frame and back, along with new interchangeable accessories such as a card holder, lanyard, and ring for improved one-handed usability.
On the camera front, the device is expected to offer both a main wide-angle lens and a secondary ultrawide camera. As with previous Fairphone models, users will be able to replace key components like the display, cameras, speakers, microphones, and charging port themselves, making it one of the most repairable smartphones on the market.
The Fairphone 6 will reportedly be available with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, with a retail price set at €549.
